Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Levine group at Michigan State University.  We apply the methods of theoretical chemistry to understand the response of advanced materials to light.  Our goals are:

  • To model and analyze the microscopic dynamics of electrons and nuclei in electronically excited materials.
  • To work with experimentalists and engineers to develop materials and devices with desirable properties for application in solar energy conversion, sensing, and other domains.
  • To develop theoretical methods and software which expand our ability to reliably model complex photochemical systems.
